FEEDING HOMELESS PEOPLE
is a mission of providing sandwiches to Prague's homeless people.
We meet every Friday
for coffee at 11:00 at the Café KOHO, located at Senovazne Namesti 23, to put each participating member's sandwich
contributions together (prepared at home ahead of time), then we take them to the NADEJE homeless facility.
If
you feel more comfortable doing so, you can take your sandwiches to NADEJE first, then join us for coffee afterward.
In any case, even if you cannot contribute sandwiches on a Friday or you want to learn more about this group, you are still
welcome to join us for coffee and a chat.
Used clothing are accepted at this centre.
If you have any
questions please contact Helen Cyr, helenpraha6@hotmail.com ______________________________________________
CRAFTS FOR CHARITY GROUP
The group meets on last Monday of every month in the IWAP office at 10:00 a.m.
If you would like to join the group, please contact Elisabeth Slobins on elisabethslobins@yahoo.com or Barbara Arayan on charity@iwa-prague.com . The crafts for charity group make items that are sold and money is donated to charity. In addition knitted
items are given to various charities. We have had several sessions on paper crafting. A member demonstrated origami. We
went into a children's hospice to show the craft to the children, which certainly brightened up their day. ______________________________________________

Art of Giving
Honor Card
A beautiful
and simple way to give is by purchasing an IWAP "Honor Card".
Honoring someone you care about with these
lovely cards (designed by Romit Berger) benefits everyone.
This relatively new IWAP tradition works this way:
* At a General meeting or at the office, purchase a card or several to have them handy as a gift to honor someone
special, for birthdays, graduations, or other occasions.
* Pay any amount you wish
* Receive a tax-deductible
receipt
* Take the card home and fill in the "To", "From" and "Occasion" lines
* Mail it to a friend or relative
* Feel very good that you have made someone smile or have brought someone
comfort
* Feel doubly good that you have made a greatly appreciated contribution to an IWAP charity.
