26 December-1 January: Christmas Organ Concerts (classical music)

These concerts, with a Christmas theme, start at 16:00 daily.

31 December1 January: Golden Ski (sport)

A new project run by the Ski Federation. There will be eight runs over ten days held in three different countries: Czech Republic, Germany and Italy. Qualification starts at 13:30. Cultural programme and festive firework display scheduled for the evening.

27 January : Prague Winter Festival (classical music)

Traditional winter classical music festival offering a rich and varied programme of classical

music, opera and ballet. Great performances at the most beautiful venues in Prague.

1011 January : World Cup in SkiFlying (sport)

Ski-jump competition held in the Giant Mountains. A prestigious international cup competition on K120. Don‘t miss a visit to the Ski Museum, dedicated to sporting achievements of Harrachov´s skiers, the glass museum‘s exhibition of unique local glass products dating back to 1712, and a visit to the mini-brewery offering a special yeast beer.

11 January : The Jizerska 50 km Cross-country Skiing Race (sport)

A most popular public competition with a long tradition, organised in a picturesque winter resort.

If you don‘t feel like competing, take a trip to nearby Jablonec nad Nisou - the centre of the

Czech jewellery industry.
