The International Women's Association of Prague (IWAP) strives to create friendly forums to encourage members to broaden their social circles and to enhance their cultural experiences in Prague through our various organizations and activities. Our membership is made up of Czech natives and women from over 35 countries around the world. We welcome all women who live in the Czech Republic! The IWAP membership also enjoys giving backing to the Czech Republic through its numerous charitable events and activities. The International Women's Association of Prague is an independent, non-political, non-profit organization voluntarily run by its membership. IWAP is a member of "Open Door," and international association of 70 groups throughout the world.

The organization began under the name International Women's Club of Prague in 1991 and was spawned by what was then a group of Diplomat wives in response to the post-1989 influx of foreign businessmen and their English, German and Spanish speaking wives. It was incorporated in 1998 as a Czech non-profit organization due to the huge amount of charitable gifts it managed. For more information you may read our 10th anniversary history.
