I am a native Czech, although for more than 20 years I lived in England. Now back in Prague I have joined IWAP in the spring of 2008, wanted to help and was asked to become Website co-ordinator. Since then I have learned much about design and web production whilst meeting and communicating with many other inspired members. I have enjoyed the activities and friendship of IWAP and hope to carry on the excelent tradition to the future.	I've been a member of IWAP for almost six years now. For the first two years I just attended the general meetings, enjoyed the social activities and joined a couple of the interest groups. Then I was asked if I'd be interested in helping the magazine team. I worked on the magazine until May 2010, learning how edit, use desk top publishing and design programs - all new skills that I can take with me when we leave this beautiful city. I now have the grand title of First Vice President and am looking forward to the challenge my new post will bring - especially finding interesting speakers for our monthly general meetings. IWAP has given me so much since we came to live in Prague and I have made some wonderful friends from all parts of the world. My life would be a lot emptier without IWAP.

I am from Ireland and I have been in Prague for the past three years. My husband has always travelled extensively with his job but this is my first expat experience and I am enjoying it very much as our children are now living their own lives. I worked part time before moving to Prague and missed that part of my life until I got involved with IWAP and experienced the wonderful team spirit that is this organisation. I come from an accounting background and therefore feel confident to be IWAP Treasurer.	I was born and educated in Scotland but left over 35 years ago. Although I have lived in three other European capital cities, my life in Prague has turned out to be the most interesting. This without a doubt is because of my involvement with IWAP. As the advertising coordinator, I have a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills such as IT and how to deal with a diverse range of clients. Life is a series of opportunities and my role in the advertising team has given me a wealth of experiences which a year ago I would never have imagined.

I am originally from North Lincolnshire, England but have lived in the North East in Whitley Bay, 8 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne for the last 31 years.  I met my husband when he was training at Dartmouth Royal Naval College and we married in Abadan, Iran. My two sons were born in Iran and returned with me to live in England in 1974. I studied as a mature student when the boys were a little older and qualified as a Social Worker.  My career in Social Work lasted more than 20 years and I specialised in mental health, working in a community mental health team. I retired early, due to ill health, but came to Prague in the winter of 2007 when my husband started to work for Radio Free Europe.  I joined IWAP in January 2008 and have taken part in some of the many activities offered.  I was flattered to be asked to join the Board and will serve you to the best of my ability.		I have lived in the Czech Republic for 3 and half years. I enjoy being part of IWAP and am part of the Bridge Group, the Golf Group and the Book Group.

	I am registered nurse and moved to Prague from New Zealand, 4 years ago with my husband. I have two adult sons who both now live in Europe. I remember so well the frustrations of day to day life when you are new in Prague and am only too happy to help others make that transition, both by running the Meet-and-Greet lunches and by sharing the pool of local knowledge gleaned through IWAP membership. It's so good to see strangers come along for their first lunch and after only a couple of hours leave with contacts established and new friendships on the way!	I am Peruvian and I have lived in the Czech Republic since 2000. I am currently on maternity leave. My first job after graduation was as the PR manager for the Peruvian Minister of Agriculture. I live in Jihlava. My husband is an English farmer, and we have three children. We enjoy living our international family life in this beautiful and kind country.

I moved to Prague from Germany in November 2006. After graduating in law, I dedicated most of my time not only to a busy household with 3 children, a dog and cats but also accompanied my husband on international business trips which ultimately led us to Prague. I joined IWAP only recently, in September 2008, but I was instantly impressed by the friendly acceptance and energy and desire of members to help others. As a social event co-ordinator I will try to organize a well balanced program of events helping the international women and their families to feel more familiar with Czech society and culture.	I moved to the Czech Republic with my husband in August 2009. Bas and I both lived, worked and married in Kiev, where I orginally come from. So, now, probably like most of you, we have many "homes": in Ukraine, in the Netherlands and our new home in Prague, which we really enjoy. I joined IWAP in October 2009 and in May 2010 was elected to be on the Board of the Association. I find my role as a coordinator of social and cultural events together with Ulrike one of the most interesting and enriching. I hope to share my passion for culture with members and make everyone's stay in Prague a really memorable and fun experience. I look forward to greeting you at our events as we visit museums, galleries, art studios, as well as meet the museum directors, exhibition curators and famous artists.	I am a native of Finland and have lived in Prague over 10 years. I worked the first 3+ years in research laboratories. I have been a member of IWAP from the very beginning. I was the president of IWAP for 2 years . I have volunteered doing gallery outings and magazine layout . I am coordinating the beadwork group.
